Upgrade in online banking and app

The upgrade will allow you to see not only your own accounts in the future, but also accounts for which you are an authorised signatory. You can hide specific accounts in the financial overview. To do this, click the three dots to the right of the account you want to hide in your online banking. In the menu, select the item “Hide from financial overview”. In the app, you can call up the "Personalize financial overview " pop-up in the top right-hand corner of the HeroCard in the financial overview. Use "Show and hide products" to determine which accounts should no longer be displayed. The selected account will then be hidden in the financial overview of your Deutsche Bank app.

Until now, you logged in to online banking separately for each branch/account number. From 25 August, your login to online banking and the Deutsche Bank app will be linked to you as an individual. You may therefore see several Deutsche Bank accounts in the financial overview. You will also see accounts for which you are an authorised signatory. In the financial overview, you can specify for each account whether it should appear there or be hidden. You can change the settings again at any time. To hide accounts, go to online banking and click the three dots next to the respective account. In the app, you can call up the "Personalize financial overview " pop-up in the top right-hand corner of the HeroCard in the financial overview. Use "Show and hide accounts" to determine which accounts should be displayed. Your selection will be automatically applied in the app.

The menu item “Revoke power of attorney” can be found in the service area. Here you have the option of withdrawing any power of attorney you have granted. This function is only available if the account is in your name. The option is available to you in online banking and in the app.

Yes, after the upgrade you will find all the important functions of the “My card” app conveniently and easily in your Deutsche Bank app.

Would you like to keep receipts from your My Card app? Then please save the receipts by 22 August 2025. Individual settings will not be transferred, but you can set them up again in your Deutsche Bank app.

Credit cards will only follow in the course of 2026. At the moment you can see current accounts, savings accounts and current loans in your finance planner.

In the new FinanzPlaner, you can see all your income and expenses at a glance, organised by various categories. This means you can always keep a close eye on your financial situation. This works just as well in the Deutsche Bank app as it does in online banking. If you were already using FinanzPlaner before the upgrade, your transactions from the last four years will be available in the new FinanzPlaner.

Yes and no; with the upgrade you will be able to see all Deutsche Bank accounts that belong to you in the financial overview. You can also incorporate these accounts into the new FinanzPlaner. It will no longer be possible to integrate accounts from third-party banks here. This multi-banking function will be cancelled with the upgrade – at least for the time being.

You will continue to receive all automatic information services relating to security accounts, taxes, accounts, deposits, loans, pensions, home loan savings and digital services if you have given the bank an advertising opt-in.

You can still configure and order the Konto-InfoServices and the KontoSensor yourself in online banking. The only areas that the user will no longer be able to configure and order himself are the securities accounts, maturities & terms, expert knowledge & newsletter.

Two security procedures apply following the upgrade:

• photoTAN
• BestSign

From 25 August 2025, you will set up the new BestSign procedure. You activate BestSign via the new Deutsche Bank app. You can use photoTAN procedures that have already been set up.

Before 25 August 2025:
You can request a new PIN by
post, which takes approx. 2-3 working days.

From 25 August 2025:
You can reset your PIN (your password) when logging in for the first time. To do this, click “Forgotten your credentials?” on the login page and follow the instructions under “Reset PIN/password”. To confirm your new password, you need an active security procedure (photoTAN or the new BestSign). You can then log in immediately. Of course, you can also request an initial access code by post, which takes approx. 2-3 working days.

The Deutsche Bank app requires the Android 9 or iOS 15 operating system or higher. It will no longer be possible to use the app on older versions for security reasons. The same requirements also apply to the BestSign app. It will still be possible to use PhotoTAN with the Android 7 or iOS 14 version.

Yes, all you need is one login. You will see your private and business accounts separately. To switch between the two views, simply select the corresponding profile.

Nothing will change for EBICS. You can therefore continue to use EBICS for your banking as usual.

The following requirements will apply for your password in future:

• The password can be between 8 and 50 characters long.
• It must consist of at least 3 of the 4 character types (lower case letters, upper case letters, numbers, special characters, no spaces).
• Permitted characters are: a-z, A-Z, 0-9 and !"#$'()*+,-./:;=?@[]^_
  
  

Your branch and account number is often sufficient as a Deutsche Bank ID to get started. We will let you know whether this applies to you when you first log in. If not, assign yourself your new Deutsche Bank ID and password the first time you log in to your new online banking or the app. In either case, you can change both at any time in online banking or the app.

If you see the error message: “New login details – please note: USERNAME:CUSTOMER ID Your branch/customer number (FKN) has been migrated, details on logging in to online banking?”

In this case, replace your “user name” with the login details shown in the message. The customer ID can be left blank. If your software does not allow this, enter the user name there as well.

If you see the error message: “Account details not valid. No data available for the transmitted order reference.” If you see this message, place a leading 0 in front of the account number in the account details.

First update your banking software. Then close the programme and open it again. Now enter your new PIN/password (you may need to remove a previously saved password).

Yes, your existing documents are automatically transferred from the old postbox to the new postbox.

You can only request the switch to the digital postbox as the account holder. For underage customers, the postbox is activated by the authorised representatives

Yes, you will automatically receive an e-mail for newly posted documents. Please make sure that we have the correct e-mail address for you on file.

From 25 August 2025, you will only be able to find out the current status (balance) of your BHW contracts via your BHW service hotline in Frankfurt a.M. +49 69 910-50500.

From 25 August 2025, you will receive the balance notifications via the digital postbox in online banking. You will no longer see current information about your mortgage loan in the financial overview.

Only authorised users with access to your online banking were named in the letter. Of course, you may have granted further powers of attorney independently of this, which of course remain in force until revoked.

Yes, if your business account is held in your name as a natural person, you are welcome to use the cash code. If your business accounts are held in the name of a GmbH or another legal entity, you do not currently benefit from the flexibility of the cash code.
